Checking speed on vps

Modified on Sat, 14 Sep at 10:05 PM

We would like to inform you that the VPS plan you have chosen provides the speed as per the selected plan. However, achieving this speed depends not only on our equipment and configurations but also on the bandwidth of your internet connection and the characteristics of the device you are using to connect.
The actual data transfer speed between your device and the VPS may be lower. This can occur due to the following reasons:
  1. Actual bandwidth limitation of your connection. For example, if your Internet Service Provider (ISP) offers a speed of up to 50 Mbps, even when connecting to our VPS with a higher speed, the actual data transfer speed between your device and the VPS will be limited by your ISP's bandwidth.
  2. Using a wireless connection (Wi-Fi, mobile internet) on your device to exchange data with the VPS, where speed may vary depending on signal quality and channel congestion. For example, if you are transferring data to the VPS from a smartphone connected to mobile internet, the speed will be limited by the data transmission capabilities of the mobile network. In real conditions, this is typically 3-15 Mbps.
  3. Router settings of your Internet Service Provider, which can limit bandwidth. This could include restrictions set by the ISP or limitations related to the configuration of the router itself.
Steps for diagnosing and improving your internet speed:
  • Check the current speed: Please run a speed test on your VPS using the speedtest-cli command. You can install it from https://www.speedtest.net/apps/cli. Share the test results with us so we can assess the current situation.
